A Bit Short!
We're almost at the finish line! One more day (and a possible do over day on Monday for me?) to go, folks.
Glad you've stuck with me this far. Sorry I'm late getting this up today. I didn't have time to do my daily/hourly updates as I was juggling sick and grumpy kids and another deadline.
BUT, I managed to get in 3187 words total on a different project. I went a little off course today with a short story contest entry that I was inspired to write. So, I didn't push the WIP along but I did write.
I rarely do contests any more but this was fun and I'll have to put it aside to edit next week after the challenge. I struggle with wrapping it up in so few words. Bet you couldn't guess that I'm a bit wordy, eh?

Today was a bust for me. 600 words and I had a migraine so I was in bed for the rest of the day, and sadly I ended up scrapping those 600 words because I decided later that the scene needed to go in a different direction. Ugh. Some days are like that.
Saturday's total for me was 1255. I attended our Red River Romance Writers meeting in the morning, wrote after lunch, then swam and visited with hubby-so down day for me. My kids left yesterday morning, so it's just hubby & me now.
4077 for the day, barely squeaked the last 1000 out before midnight.
I didn't get much done. I had 1713 new words and did a few pages of rewrites and other edits. Better than nothin'.
Day 6 was a bust for me too. Computer problems in the a.m. and we left town in the afternoon, so I ended up with only 339 words and some handwritten pages that I'm not counting. I'd welcome a do-over!
