A Blurb about the book:
COLORADO SILVER, COLORADO GOLD
Paperback ISBN #978-1-59705-645-8
Ebook ISBN #978-1-59705-406.4
Masquerading as a widow, socialite Juliette Lawson flees Philadelphia to ‘visit’ her uncle in Durango , Colorado . At a train stip she literally bumps into a handsome man before continuing on to Durango . For Julie, family is all important and her visit hides a secret to protect her pregnant sister back east.
While family is all important for Julie, it means nothing to Wes Westmoreland, the man she bumps into. An undercover agent for Wells Fargo, Wes grew up in the saloons and brothels of San Francisco . For Wes, his job is all important as he sees it as the only redeeming feature of his life.
What happens when two people begin to fall in love – while Wes conceals his undercover investigation of Julie’s uncle’s smelter operation, and Julie must hide the real reason behind her visit.
A Bit about the author:
Terry Irene Blain was lucky enough to grow in a large Midwestern family with a rich oral tradition. As a child she heard stories of ancestor’s adventures with Indians, wild life and weather so naturally she gravitated to the study of history. She holds a BA and MA in History as well as a BA in European Studies and taught Western Civilization and US History at the college level.
Married to a sailor (now retired) for over thirty-five years, she’s had the chance to live in various parts of the country and to travel to foreign places such as Hong Kong and Australia , England and Scotland . Their two adult sons became engaged this December and they are looking forward to having two daughters-in-laws.
Terry says: "My degrees in history and my teaching experience make me a natural to write historical romance. Writing historical romance gives me the opportunity to pass on stories of who we are and where we come from while exploring the relationship between men and women. What could be more fun than that?"

Kerri's Review of the book:
Terry Blain’s Colorado Silver, Colorado Gold is an action packed adventure through the Wild West! Welcome to Durango, Colorado where mysterious accidents and vandalization runs rampant at the local smelters. When Wes Westmoreland comes to town as an undercover detective for Wells Fargo to look into the suspicious events, he meets the lovely Julie Lawson. Young, innocent Julie has secrets of her very own.
While Julie grew up a proper Philadelphia lady, Wes was raised as a western saloon brat but the two soon find an attraction that simply can’t be quenched. To protect her family, Julie must hide her secrets at whatever the cost. Wes is trained to solve cases and he soon discovers that Julie is his toughest challenge yet. Ms. Blain’s book is full of mystery, adventure, and a slow sweet seduction that will leave you pining for your very own cowboy of the old west.
If you love western historical based romance, you cannot do better than this book. I highly recommend it and give it the following ratings (5 :-) being the highest):
Story Satisfaction: :-) :-) :-) :-) ½ (4.5) Great storyline!
Sensuality rating: :-) :-) :-) ½ (3.5) This is a sweet romance, no hardcore language.
Over-All Score: :-) :-) :-) :-) ½ (4.5) Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Kerri,
Thanks for the nice review. I really try to make my stories interesting. And with good detail, guess that's the history teacher in me.
I'll check in every so often in case anyone has any questions.

Oooh! The books sounds wonderful :) Congrats on the release and great review!
Hi, Terri and Kerri. This book sounds like a wonderful read. I'm going to have to check it out and put it in my tbr pile (or maybe not...maybe I'll sneak it to the top of the list).
Without having read the book, obviously, I wonder how Wes reacts to the society lady. Is there disdain or awe for her?

Anna,
Without being a spoiler, when Wes is truying to put a label on Julie, all he can think of is nice -- but then, he thinks what did he know about nice? He's attracted not only to her physically, but to her good heart.
Terry
Terry, your book sounds wonderful, and due in no small part to your wide life experience and your education. You're certainly right that romance stories are up your alley. I'm glad to see your western being well-reviewed and I hope that the word gets out. RT's article a couple of issues back on the resurgence of the western gives me hope that this wonderful sub-genre of historical romance - with all the opportunities for varied time periods and locales - is going to be back, front and center, on the book shelves and on the e-book readers! Good luck with Colorado and all your future westerns!
Hi Terry,

and what a great background you have. Congrat on the nice review :)
